Location
During our recent stay at Sunwing Bangtao Beach , we found the location to be absolutely perfect for our vacation in Phuket. Situated in the charming district of Bang Tao, in the northern part of the island, the resort provided easy access to the stunning Bang Tao beachfront, just a short 5-minute walk away. We also appreciated the proximity to popular attractions such as the Laguna Phuket Golf Club and Canal Village shopping center, which added convenience to our stay.
Accommodation
The accommodation at Sunwing Bangtao Beach exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort and convenience. Our spacious studio was tastefully furnished with modern decor and equipped with a fully equipped kitchenette, perfect for preparing light meals during our stay. The private balcony offered breathtaking views of the resort grounds and provided a peaceful spot to unwind after a day of exploration.
Our Room
Our stay at Sunwing Bangtao Beach was made truly luxurious by our accommodation in the Royal Lounge Terrace room. Located on the ground floor, this spacious room boasted an expansive area of 44.5 square meters, providing ample space for relaxation and comfort. The highlight of the room was undoubtedly the large terrace, complete with sun loungers and a sofa, offering the perfect spot to soak up the sun and enjoy the tropical surroundings.
Whether we opted for a King bed or two Single beds, the room provided a restful night’s sleep, ensuring that we woke up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated each morning. For families traveling with infants, a Baby Cot was available upon request, adding convenience for those with little ones in tow.
The room was equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay, including air conditioning to keep us cool in the tropical climate, bathrobes for added comfort, and cable/satellite TV for entertainment. A well-appointed desk provided a designated workspace for catching up on emails or planning our daily activities.
For those who prefer to prepare their own meals, the room featured a fully-equipped kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, toaster, and tea/coffee making facilities, making it easy to whip up a quick snack or meal. Additionally, a welcome package greeted us upon arrival, adding a thoughtful touch to our stay.
Other amenities included in the room were a hairdryer, hot & cold water, an iron/ironing board, a room safe for storing valuables, and slippers for added comfort. The separate shower area provided a refreshing bathing experience, while complimentary Wi-Fi ensured that we stayed connected throughout our stay.
With views overlooking the lush resort grounds, the Royal Lounge Terrace room provided a serene retreat where we could unwind and enjoy the beauty of our surroundings. From the comfortable furnishings to the thoughtful amenities, our stay in the Royal Lounge Terrace room exceeded all expectations, leaving us with cherished memories of our time at Sunwing Bangtao Beach.

Located just a few steps from the beautiful Bangtao Beach, Piak’s Kitchen offers a delightful dining experience with a diverse menu. Open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the restaurant serves an array of Thai dishes alongside international favorites such as salads, burgers, pasta, and pizza. For dessert, indulge in ice cream or a variety of other sweet treats, and enjoy a nice hot espresso to complete your meal. Piak’s Kitchen also provides a convenient Take-Away service, allowing you to savor your meal on your balcony or terrace.
Fino Restaurant
Situated by the beach, Fino Restaurant is renowned for its exquisite cuisine and well-curated menu. This fine dining establishment provides a sophisticated atmosphere where you can enjoy gourmet dishes while taking in the stunning beach views. In the evenings, Fino transforms into an entertainment hub with shows performed at the Lime Show Bar, adding a touch of fun to your dining experience. Due to its popularity, table reservations are recommended to secure your spot.
Pool Bar
The Pool Bar is the perfect spot to relax and unwind, whether you’re in the water or lounging poolside. With a selection of cool and refreshing drinks, this bar offers a vibrant atmosphere enhanced by great music. It’s an ideal place to chill out, sip on your favorite beverage, and soak up the holiday vibes.
Lounge Bar
Both before and after dinner, the Lounge Bar provides a cozy and relaxed environment to enjoy a drink. With a range of beverages, including child-friendly options, the Lounge Bar caters to guests of all ages. It’s a great place to sit back, enjoy your drink, and unwind in a comfortable setting.
Family-Friendly Activities
As a family-friendly resort, Sunwing Bangtao Beach provided a wide range of activities to keep guests of all ages entertained. From Mini Stars Shows to Mini Discos and morning poolside entertainment, there was never a dull moment during our stay. The outdoor pool complex, featuring six swimming pools and a waterslide, was a particular highlight for our kids, who spent hours splashing around and having fun.
Relaxation and Wellness
For those seeking relaxation and wellness, Sunwing Bangtao Beach offered plenty of options to unwind. We indulged in beachfront massages at Sala Massage, where the tranquil setting and skilled therapists provided a truly rejuvenating experience. The Fitness Room, equipped with cardio and weights equipment, provided a convenient place to stay active during our stay.
