During our latest trip to Phuket, my husband and I had the pleasure of staying at La Green Hotel & Residence for five nights. This unique eco and family-friendly apart-hotel is conveniently located just a 20-minute drive from the airport and only 700 meters from the serene Layan Beach. The hotel offers a direct shuttle service to the beach, ensuring easy access for all guests. Within a 1-3 km radius, we found a national park, beach clubs, golf courses, tennis courts, and a variety of shopping and entertainment complexes, making it an ideal location for both relaxation and exploration.
Location
Located in the northern part of Bang Tao, Phuket, La Green Hotel & Residence offers a tranquil escape amidst the pristine beauty of the island. Just a short distance away lies the stunning Bang Tao Beach, known for its soft golden sands and crystal-clear waters, inviting guests to indulge in relaxation and seaside adventures.
Surrounding our hotel, guests will find a picturesque landscape characterized by lush greenery and swaying palm trees, creating a serene ambience perfect for unwinding and rejuvenating the senses. Nearby attractions include Laguna Phuket Golf Club, Canal Village shopping center, and Phuket Adventure minigolf, providing opportunities for leisure and exploration within easy reach of our location.
Sustainability
During our stay at La Green Hotel & Residence, we were impressed by their unwavering commitment to sustainability. As the first hotel in Thailand built following Green Building standards, La Green sets a high standard for eco-friendly hospitality. Certified by EDGE Advanced, an international authority on green buildings, this establishment prioritizes environmental responsibility.
One aspect that stood out to us was the hotel’s innovative approach to sustainability monitoring. By incorporating a cloud platform for calculating sustainability and utility costs, La Green demonstrates a dedication to transparency and accountability in their environmental efforts.
Throughout our stay, we noticed several eco-friendly practices in action. From the use of solar panels to harness renewable energy, to LED lighting and LOW-E glass for energy-efficient lighting and insulation, every detail was carefully considered to minimize the hotel’s carbon footprint.
Overall, La Green Hotel & Residence serves as a shining example of how luxury hospitality can coexist harmoniously with environmental stewardship. We left our stay feeling not only relaxed and rejuvenated but also inspired by the hotel’s commitment to a greener future.
La Green Junior Suite
Our stay in the La Green Junior Suite was incredibly comfortable. This 1-bedroom apartment features a full-size kitchen and dining area, a cozy sofa bed in the living room, and a TV. The separate bedroom has a storage system and offers access to a balcony. The bathroom is equipped with a stall shower for convenience. The suite spans 45 sqm, accommodating 1-3 guests with either one double bed or two single beds. Additional amenities include:
La Green Junior Suite is is equipped with a Smart TV and features a private balcony, providing a perfect spot to unwind. It incorporates smart home technology for a seamless experience. For ultimate relaxation, the room includes a luxurious jacuzzi bathtub. A refrigerator is available for storing snacks and beverages, and complimentary WiFi ensures you stay connected.
The room also has a spacious closet, along with a hair dryer, slippers, and bathrobes for your comfort. A safe deposit box is provided for securing valuables. The room is air-conditioned and comes with coffee and tea facilities for your convenience. Additionally, an umbrella, toiletries, flashlight, and iron are included to meet all your needs during your stay.
Dining
JaakDin Bakery & Restaurant
JaakDin Bakery & Restaurant provided us with a delightful slow food experience, using only locally sourced ingredients and homemade products to create unique flavors. This all-day dining haven features a bakery and takeaway food counter, offering sandwiches, freshly baked bread, croissants, and other pastries.
We also enjoyed a wide selection of freshly roasted coffee and various types of fine local tea grown according to ecological standards. “Jaak Din” means “from the earth” in Thai, reflecting the restaurant’s commitment to wholesome, organic products.
Sanook Restaurant
Sanook Restaurant is the main breakfast venue where we immersed ourselves in the vibrant and spicy flavors of Southern Thai cuisine. Modeled after an indoor market, this restaurant offers an interactive all-day dining experience. In the evenings, it transforms into a lively dining destination.
The natural ambiance is infused with elements of Phuket’s Chinese-Portuguese heritage, creating a family-friendly setting where classic local dishes are served.
Manaw Manaw Pool Bar
Manaw Manaw Pool Bar was our favorite spot for a refreshing and fun time. This stylish pool bar offers lemon and lime-infused cocktails and drinks, perfect for quenching your thirst. Inspired by endless summer days, Manaw Manaw is a contemporary hotspot to relax and refresh. We enjoyed swimming up to the bar to order fresh juice or exotic tropical cocktails and lounging on comfortable chairs while sipping our favorite drinks.
Facilities
Active Zone
As guests eager to maintain our health and wellness, we eagerly explored the Active Zone at La Green Hotel & Residence. This dedicated area offered a plethora of facilities and activities designed to promote our physical and mental well-being. From a fully-equipped gym and sports ground to serene jogging and walking paths, rejuvenating yoga sessions, and a blissful spa, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
The gym, in particular, caught our attention with its impressive size spanning 253 square meters. It boasted top-of-the-line equipment and amenities, ensuring an exceptional workout experience. With modern conveniences like a locker room, the gym provided us with the comfort and ease needed to focus on our fitness goals. Plus, its 24-hour availability and air-conditioned environment allowed us to work out on our own schedule, day or night.
Featuring Technogym equipment renowned for its quality and innovation, our gym experience was elevated to new heights. Whether we were beginners or seasoned athletes, the advanced technology and customizable workout options catered to all fitness levels. With Technogym, achieving our fitness goals felt more attainable and enjoyable, thanks to its user-friendly design and efficient performance.
Kids Club
Although we don’t have kids ourselves, we noticed that La Green Hotel & Residence offers fantastic facilities for families traveling with children. The outdoor kids’ playground seemed like a haven for young guests, featuring soft flooring and protection from direct sunlight to ensure safety and comfort. The diverse range of entertaining equipment, including slides, climbing structures, and crawl spaces, looked perfect for children to run, climb, slide, and explore in a supervised environment.
Additionally, the Kids Club appeared to be an excellent hands-on space with a variety of activities and events. With a daily schedule designed to keep young ones engaged, the Kids Club offered a range of options from arts and crafts to interactive games and educational sessions. It was clear that La Green Hotel & Residence prioritizes making family stays memorable and enriching for their youngest guests.

Serenity Spa
As guests seeking a rejuvenating escape, we found ourselves drawn to the Serenity Spa at La Green Hotel & Residence. It promised an oasis of peace and tranquility, inviting us to unwind and embark on a journey of ultimate relaxation. Here, amidst the serene surroundings of lush greenery, we indulged in a variety of treatments, from traditional Thai massages to invigorating deep strokes and natural scrubs.
The spa’s offerings provided us with a holistic experience, allowing us to immerse ourselves fully in a state of tranquility and renewal. To complement our relaxation journey, we explored the steam room, sauna, and Jacuzzi, further enhancing our sense of serenity and well-being.
Special Services
Airport transfer
During our stay at La Green Hotel & Residence, we were impressed by the convenient airport transfer service. Located just a 20-minute drive from Phuket International Airport, the transfer made our arrival and departure seamless and stress-free. We appreciated the prompt and comfortable journey, which allowed us to start and end our trip on a positive note.
Free shuttle service to Layan Beach
One of the standout features ofLa Green Hotel & Residence is the complimentary shuttle service to Layan Beach. Just 700 meters from the hotel, Layan Beach is easily accessible thanks to the shuttle that runs every 20 minutes from 8 am to 6 pm. The last shuttle departs from the hotel at 5:40 pm, ensuring plenty of time to enjoy the serene beach. This hassle-free transportation made it incredibly convenient to spend our days soaking up the sun and exploring the nearby national park.
Free shuttle service to Boat Avenue
We also took advantage of the free shuttle service to Boat Avenue, about 5 kilometers from the hotel. This service provided designated drop-off and pick-up points, making our trips to this vibrant shopping and dining destination easy and enjoyable. Whether we were looking for unique souvenirs, indulging in delicious meals, or simply exploring the area, the shuttle service ensured we could do so without worrying about transportation.
Overall Experience
La Green Hotel & Residence exceeded our expectations with its blend of eco-friendliness, modern amenities, and prime location. The sustainability practices and comfortable accommodations made our stay both enjoyable and environmentally conscious. The convenient shuttle service to the beach and the variety of dining options on-site added to the overall experience. We highly recommend La Green Hotel & Residence for anyone looking to enjoy a relaxing and eco-friendly vacation in Phuket.
